Wonderful destination wedding in Cape Town of Michelle and Ev

Meet Michelle and Ev; soulmates, lovers, such a fun couple who got married at Monkey Valley resort in Cape Town in the presence of a very lively bunch of friends and family - really a reflection of who they are themselves. It was such a fabulous wedding to photograph and a very special one to me, not only because these 2 have become very dear friends, I was also 6 1/2 months pregnant with my little girl whilst shooting this love affair!

I photographed this wedding whilst I was living in Cape Town, but I would jump on a plane any moment to photograph a wedding in South Africa. I love the adventure of shooting destination weddings and I know Cape Town very well as it is my second home.

Monkey Valley is positioned right next to a long stretched wild beach, called Noordhoek, nestled underneath the mountain, a wonderful place to get married. I photographed this wedding with my friend Kristina who heads up a photography business called Love and Rockets. This enabled us to spend time with both Michie and Ev before the ceremony. I love photographing this time, as it is full of anticipation and excitement. I captured moments of Michelle getting ready whilst Kristina spent time with the boys.

Their wedding day was a rollercoaster ride of love, laughter, connection, moments of truth, and a lot of celebration. It was an honour to capture this incredible day for these 2 lovers and I know the memories will be cherished for a long time to come.
